Dave enjoys the simple pleasures of day-old bagels, iPod pool, and internet reruns of "8 Out of 10 Cats." His most embarrassing moment in the past year was the time a girl caught him absent-mindedly humming "Don't Stop Believin'." Embarrassing no doubt, but on the whole he could be worse off.

I really never want to see Georg Szalai's face ever again. Or another ad for "The Company" while we're on the subject of over-exposure on one particular website (Variety this time).

Good article. But if I had to choose between Apatow's wife Leslie Mann or any of Woody Allen's wives and well-known girlfriends, I'd probably go with Leslie Mann. It's not that she's the hottest woman around and it's not like Diane Keaton or Mia Farrow are dogs, but relatively speaking I think Apatow's wife wins that fight. He's still a nerd, but he's done pretty well for himself.

Good call, montravont. Who knew?

Then again, I see what you're saying. The context of a PowerAde commercial (assuming one knows it's a PowerAde commercial) should remove all credibility.

This was a great article, but what's the difference between Number 1 and Number 5? Is it that the creators behind Number 1 intended for people to believe that that little girl's ghost could turn around while the PowerAde commercial was never intended for belief? If anything I would think they would be reversed since the first one is impossible (and poorly done) while the fifth is just extremely unlikely. The "Michel Gondry Solves a Rubik's Cube with his Feet" video might be a better example for #1.

I'm sorry, did you say that woman walked into the trial carrying a phaser? Why, pray tell, wasn't she arrested immediately?! Furthermore, there are Starfleet dress uniforms specifically intended for such occasions and she wore her standard, everyday work uniform? She's not exactly the officer she seems to think she is.
