October 12, 2012 - 4:51 am | PermalinkAfter doing a lot of research we have now officially ranked the 5 best zombie movies of all time. Please keep in mind, these are the best of the best with zombie movies and not awesome flicks such as Frankenstein or I am Legend.
5. Deadgirl

This film was one that was very disturbing. Deadgirl is very different then most zombie movies. Most films show that a zombie is like a monster and that they are also human but this movie puts a spin on it that will surprise you and it’s worth seeing even if you’re not into zombie movies. It was released back in 2008.
4. 28 Days Later

The zombie movie 28 Days later was released back in 2002 and then in 2007 the sequel was released 28 Weeks Later. In this movie society breaks down because of a virus rage that was extremely contagious and the virus was released accidently. There are 4 main survivors that must cope with all of the destruction that is happening in the world.
3. Shaun of the Dead

In some ways this movie is a lot like 28 Days Later but in other ways it’s not. A handful of humans find themselves struggling to survive because of zombies taking over the world. This movie is scary and yet at the same time it also has some humor in it which is very refreshing.
2. Dawn of the Dead

Don’t confuse Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead together. These are two completely different zombie movies. Zombies have taken over the earth and there are a few humans that have survived and they are in a shopping mall that is surrounded by a lot of zombies. Dawn of the Dead was released back in 2004.
1. Zombieland

Zombieland was released back in 2009 and it’s actually a zombie comedy. There are plenty of horror scenes in this film but it also has some nice humor in it. A zombie apocalypse has happened and some of the survivors have decided that they would take a road trip and go all away across to the Southwestern part of the USA in order to find a nice sanctuary so they’ll be free from the zombies. This movie actually was grossing over $60.8 million within 17 days and it surpassed the top grossing Dawn of the Dead zombie film, which is why it’s number one on the list.
