Real Men Love ALIENSOne of the only examples in which the second movie is the best in a series, “Aliens” is a badass classic in every way, and one that all Real Men should Love.

Real Men Love The Wild BunchThe Wild Bunch may be the single manliest movie ever made. It's violent, intelligent, brutal, subtle, and completely male-centric in every aspect of its storytelling. Everybody should love it -- real men doubly so.

Real Men Love The Hives' "The Black and White Album"One of the few holdovers of the "The" bands (along with The White Stripes and The Strokes), the Swedish band The Hives have a new album out that's begging to be added to your "Broin' Out" iTunes playlist. The new album, "The Black and White Album," is something all Real Men should Love.

Real Men Love the Big SleepReal Men long for a time of fast-talking men, shifty-but-gorgeous women, and plentiful murders -- so of course, real men love the classic Bogie/Bacall film noir, The Big Sleep.

Real Men Love Miller's CrossingWith No Country for Old Men coming out later this month, we thought it might be prudent to look back at what might not only be the Coen Brothers' single best film, but also one of the best gangster flicks ever made: Miller's Crossing. It's damned good. Real men love it.

Real Men Love Return of the Living DeadFast, funny zombies that don’t follow the Romero rules: that’s the easiest way to describe Dan O’Bannon’s 1985 zom-com The Return of the Living Dead. A B-Movie of the highest order, it works surprisingly well both as a comedy as well as a legitimate horror film. This is one of those films that should be mandatory viewing at any Halloween party.

Real Men Love The Road Warrior Perhaps the only example in the entire history of cinema of a sequel which is immeasurably better than its predecessor in almost every single way imaginable, The Road Warrior stands as a post-apocalyptic cult classic for the gasoline age. Real men love it. You should, too.

Real Men Love Ichi the KillerWords can barely describe this movie, and genres can not contain it. It's a psycho Yakuza dramedy that wavers on an absurdly drawn line between unbearably gruesome and darkly hilarious. If you happen to keep your eyes open while watching, you have an equal chance of seeing either the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen or the most grotesquely vile thing you've ever seen -- and you might see both. It's that roller-coaster ride that makes Real Men Love Ichi the Killer.

Real Men Love Point BreakThis article should be renamed "Point Break Is The Guiltiest Movie Pleasure Any Man Can Have." One reason for this is its record-breaking number of one liners. No need to look it up, because I know you can instantly think of a few memorable quotes from the film. Point Break is perhaps the ultimate guy movie. It has everything a man could ask for: action, hot chicks, surfing, bank robbing, football, guns and Gary Busey. It also boasts the most absurd ending in cinema history.

Real Men Love Escape From New York The sequel sucked, the comics were outlandish, the videogame isn’t happening and the remake needlessly stars a Scotsman, but, for all that, Escape From New York is still one hell of a badass movie. Here’s why Real Men Love it.

Real Men Love Dark CityToday, we celebrate the often overlooked sci-fi noir epic that grossed about 14 million dollars domestically, while the extremely similar The Matrix managed over 171 million a year later. Hey, nothing against Neo and gang, but Real Men like to go against the grain a little bit. Real Men like to dig for the underrated masterpiece. And that's one of many reasons why Real Men Love Dark City.

Real Men Aren't Quite Sure How to Feel About Hudson Hawk Hudson Hawk is quite the oddity: as a film deeply despised at the time of its release, one might think it a generally awful movie with no redeeming qualities. However, time and sufficiently altered expectations make the film much easier to appreciate and enjoy in this day and age – yet even so, many aspects of it still suck really, really, really hard. Is it a clever satire of dumb, modern action films? Or is it just a dumb, modern action film? Or is it both? Whatever the hell Hudson Hawk truly is, one thing is for certain: real men aren’t quite sure how to feel about it.

Real Men Love Big Trouble in Little ChinaThe 80s was a decade of tight jeans, sunglasses without lenses and fantastic hairstyles. It was also the decade that made Kurt Russell an action star. Russell bookended the decade with Escape from New York in ’81 and Tango and Cash in ’89, but somewhere in the middle he starred as Jack Burton in one of the strangest martial arts movies ever captured on film.

Real Men Love The Ninth Gate"The Ninth Gate" wasn't supposed to be a good movie...it's an adaptation of "The Club Dumas," a suspense novel in the vein of "The Da Vinci Code," except make the main character a book dealer. Sounds like a snooze fest, right? And the movie always threatens to veer into boringsville. But with Roman Polanski at the helm, "The Ninth Gate" went from a cliched Indiana Jones rip off to...well, a film that all real men love. Here's why...

Real Men Love Army of Darkness To be completely honest, this article shouldn’t have to exist: every man on the planet, young or old, should know of the Evil Dead series, and the greatness contained therein. Army of Darkness, the third and final entry of the series, may well be the best of the bunch: combining practical special effects with a fantasy/horror/action storyline and the most badass protagonist in film history, it’s no surprise that Real Men Love Army of Darkness.

Real Men Love Grosse Pointe BlankIt may not seem like it, but it’s been ten years since Grosse Pointe Blank, the comedy about a hit man who returns home to attend his ten-year high school reunion -- and to kill one final mark -- came out. One would think the obvious move would be to make the sequel now and set it at the twenty-year high school reunion. For better or worse, that doesn’t seem to be happening. Maybe they’re holding out for twenty-five.

Real Men Love The RocketeerLast time, we taught you that Real Men Love Robocop. This time, we’re here to teach you about an equally manly, equally beginning-with-the-letter-R film that time has put aside: The Rocketeer. Like Robocop, The Rocketeer is in a strange situation in time: it’s too new to be retro and nostalgic, but too old to be truly relevant. Still, though, none of this stops the film from being one of the coolest, most sadly overlooked action-adventure flicks of the 1990’s. Are you a real man? Then prepare to show your love for The Rocketeer.
