Manners Maketh Your Mom: Julianne Moore Might Villain it Up in 'Kingsman 2'

A little over a year ago, Julianne Moore was villaining it up in the abysmal Seventh Son at the same time her Single Man co-star Colin Firth was tearing hillbillies apart in a church in Kingsman: The Secret Service. Since the former turned out to be a non-starter and the latter is now a franchise in need of a new villain, Julianne may finally be ready to ham it up in a movie people might actually see.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (link below), Moore will join returning star Taron Egerton and director Matthew Vaughn in the film which will see the action move across the pond to the U.S., though precious little else is known at the moment. In an interview with Collider, series star Egerton says the villain role is so spectacular, he wishes he could play it...

“With Kingsman, we’re shooting in the summer at present. There’s a script, it’s brilliant. Obviously there’s only so much I can say but what I can say is that we shot [the first] one all in the U.K., that won’t be the case with the next one. It’s a far more international story, we’re going to some incredible places, and we have a villain to rival Samuel L. Jackson—this new one is so brilliantly written I wish I could play it. It’s amazing.”
