Theatre. The stage. The place people go when they want to pretend to be deep. Roughly ninety percent of people who perform in the theatre, either for fun or as an occupation, tend to view it as the single greatest art form ever created. This is why they’re douchebags.

You pay money to learn. Professors receive money to teach. At no point during this monetary exchange is it written that the professor should be allowed to treat his students with disrespect and condescension -- and at no point is it written that you, under any circumstances, should accept such treatment. Goddamnit, stop taking crap from your professors.

While most of the other installments of the GODDAMNIT series have attacked social trends which, while irritating and harmful, I have never personally engaged in. This week, however, I address a problem which I, and people like me, contribute to on an almost daily basis. The problem? Using meaningless words or phrases just for the purpose of sounding smart.

Quick -- what’s the quickest, easiest way to make a person you’ve just met hate you with the fire of a thousand suns? Why, wear a t-shirt with a banal, pointless slogan on it, of course! Not the funny, ironic, quasi-offensive stuff you might find at Snorg, BustedTees, or T-Shirt Hell, mind you, but the sort of pathetic, pointless crap which embarrasses not only the shirt-wearer, but everyone who has to come into contact with him. Here’s why you shouldn’t wear crap like that.

I love you, ladies, but I have to admit that your gender is responsible for quite possibly one of the most irritating and condescending trends of the last years: the labeling of all males, regardless of age, maturity level, or personality, "boys." Here's why we (or more specifically, I) don't like this.
