Fight Club: The Sex Pistols VS The Ramones

THE SEX PISTOLS

Strengths: They're not even musicians... they're basically street kids who were given instruments. And street kids know how to fight. They would get into fights with their audience every night. Their bass player, Sid Vicious, killed his girlfriend. They were nasty, nasty fucks.

Weaknesses: They hated each other intensely and broke up after recording one album (so there could be some in fighting). Sid Vicious killed himself, though we'll pretend they're all alive.  There were only four of them. They're British so no matter what their attitude, they're still European mofos.

THE RAMONES

Strengths: Though the lineup was three guys, they've got a total of eight roving members. They're tough dudes from New York who let their music (and sometimes their fists) do the talking. Joey Ramone is (was) a pro-gun republican. The band stuck together for decades.

Weaknesses: The three founding members are technically dead (though again, we'll keep 'em alive for the fight). They seem out of it and non confrontational most of the time.
