Jonathan, you are absolutely right about Hammer. We missed that one. So I added it to the end of the list.

As for bagpipe players, we couldn't find any on YouTube that were "fast". If you, or anyone else out there can please send them our way and we'll add them to the page as well.

DragonForce are nothing without pro tools, heard them live? they can't even play their own songs, my bet for the fastest band goes to a black metal band of some kind

Uh, I have seen Dragonforce twice live and it sounded exactly like the cd. So I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe they had a bad night? Or more likely they were so drunk they couldn't play. Those dudes had beer strapped to the mic stands so they could drink while playing.

Either way, Herman and Sam are fucking amazing guitar players.

I think I would have to give the bagpipes to Carlos Nunez.

He plays more extremely fast, unique notes (not just quick "finger tap" riffs) than any other bagpipe player I've listened to.

That piano player doesn't deserve to be called a pianist. It's absolutely horrible. All he's doing to try to sound fast is alternating hands between notes, but misses the intended notes three-quarters of the time.

I personally know pianists with amazing speed and accuracy, and have shot video of them. Some fine examples include:
