Let's face it, Suicide Squad was the absolute worst comic book movie in a year with some pretty bad comic book movies. Therefore, it's interesting that the folks over at Screen Junkies let it off relatively easy with their latest Honest Trailer. Don't get me wrong, there's some cutting commentary in there from dubbing Jared Leto's Joker a "manorexic juggalo" to pointing out how the soundtrack sounds like someone flipping through radio dials.
I just wish they'd really gone for the jugular because there are some people out there still operating under the delusion that this was a good movie. I can't help but think that these people just really, really want it to be good and are willing to overlook substantial flaws in order to derive some semblance of enjoyment from it. I can't help but think the whole film is an analogy for roughly 60 million of America's citizens, but if you want to know who shelled out money to see this thing multiple times, just multiply 60 million by five bucks a ticket.
Any way you slice it, this film is a disaster of epic proportions and no amount of Jared Leto Jokering could have tipped the scales in the other direction.
