Netflix to Debut 'Iron Fist' Next March

With the news that Daredevil wouldn't be returning until 2018, everyone wondered if Netflix was going to play it safe and slide Iron Fist right into Daredevil's primo late first quarter spot. Welp, that's exactly what they've done, as the studio announced via the fifteen second teaser trailer above that the entire first season will debut on March 17, 2017.

With The Defenders also looming on the horizon for 2017, it's looking like next year will be a great year for Marvel. They'll have Iron Fist in March, Guardians 2 in May, Spider-Man: Homecoming in July, Thor: Ragnarok in November, and The Defenders debuting sometime in the late third or early fourth quarter. I think this should serve as a lesson to DC in how you pace yourself at the start and then ramp things up slowly over time. The MCU started nine years ago and is just now getting to a place where they can release three movies and two TV series in a calendar year. DC wants to do that in year two, and continue to wonder why no one takes him seriously.

Speaking of not taking things seriously, check out this promo image from the first season of Iron Fist, which features star Finn Jones perfecting his white guy karate, which as we all know, involves more punching than actual martial arts...
