Lumberjanes, a very progressive and incredibly adorable comic book series which follows the supernatural adventures of a diverse group of teen girls at a summer camp, is headed to the big screen—and now the film has a director.
Emily Carmichael, an award winning short film director, is taking on the feature being released by Fox.
Lumberjanes was created by Shannon Walters, Grace Ellis, and Noelle Stevenson. The book is probably one of the most touching, fun comics out on shelves right now, and it's really broken barriers. I can't wait to see who they cast—I'd love to see Kate McKinnon as Ripley.
