If you've got a girlfriend, chances are you're gonna get dragged to see the new weepy romantic movie The Light Between Oceans, but the best thing about that movie coming out is that it gives star Michael Fassbender a chance to make the interview rounds and talk about other movies he's working on. As a matter of fact, while speaking with Collider, Fassbender gave us a tantalizing tease for Ridley Scott's upcoming Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant.
When asked about the film, Fassbender had the following to say... "I have to say, this Alien is going to be – I’m really excited to see it and everybody in the film was saying that there’s a film that we all wanna see. It’s much scarier than Prometheus, but it’s got that sort of same scope as Prometheus, that imminent sort of disaster feel, that Alien had. So it’s kind of a beautiful meeting of both of those films. I’m really excited to see it, I think it’s gonna be super scary, number one. And again, with the massive scope of Prometheus."
Scope certainly wasn't the issue with Prometheus, but I do enjoy the fact that this seems to be bringing the series back to its horror roots. Let's just hope it doesn't get screwed up in editing.
