We're still 17 months away from the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII, but stars Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill have confirmed that principal photography has concluded on the film via social media. This means we've got several more months before reshoots begin, followed by the inevitable internet outrage over reshoots and how they're killing the film. What a time to be alive!
Daisy let fans know that filming was done by posting the above image to Instagram, though her hairstyle appears to look more or less the same as it did in Force Awakens, and as we know, she's been going out of her way to hide that new hairstyle.
Hamill, on the other hand, posted a pic from the wrap party to Instagram, letting everyone know they'll never have as much fun as Mark Hamill, no matter how hard they try. The wrap party was apparently held at London's Natural History Museum, so don't let that panda icon fool you into thinking there will be Panda Jedis in the new flick. That would be fantastic, though, wouldn't it? Pandas don't give a fuck about anything and would make great Jedis. Here's a pic of my favorite panda to celebrate the conclusion of filming on Episode VIII...
Star Wars: Episode VIII, written and directed by Rian Johnson, is due in theaters on December 15, 2017.
