What Does Sebastian Stan Think About a Bucky and Cap Romance?

null

One of the greatest things about fandom is how we're allowed to see ourselves in superhuman characters, but that's just not enough for a lot of fans. Petitions have been started for movie studios to do everything under the sun with just about every character you can name, but they never work. How does someone like Sebastian Stan—who found his Bucky Barnes at the center of an internet petition recently—feel about it all though? Read on to find out...

In a recent interview with GQ, the actor took a very diplomatic approach to the cries for Bucky and Steve Rogers to hook up saying, "Look, man, I think it’s great. Movies are for people to relate to in whatever way the want. No one here is ever going to point a finger and say what’s right and wrong. For me, it’s like Awww. It’s cute, it’s great. If someone takes the time to think about that, thats great. I don’t think of the character that way, though. But there’s no right or wrong answer."

I personally couldn't agree more. I think that the subtext is there and if people want to read it that way, that's fantastic. At the same time, do we really need to start a fucking petition every time we get an idea? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that internet petitions are about as useful as a plot in a Michael Bay movie.
