'Inhumans' Removed from Marvel Studios Release Schedule

Sadly we've been expecting this news for a while, but it looks as though fans of Marvel's Inhumans will have to wait a little longer to see their favorite cosmic team on the big screen. Disney and Marvel Studios announced this weekend that the film has been officially removed from its upcoming release schedule, with no immediate plans to reschedule it.

The news comes to us via Comic Book Movie, who speculate that the film's July 12, 2019 release date may now go to a potential Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, which would make a ton of sense considering how quickly Marvel can churn these things out these days. However, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige recently had this to say in an interview with CBM...

"Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet."

With Disney's Indiana Jones 5 currently slotted for the following weekend, July 19, 2019, I would more readily expect Marvel to abandon the July 12 date altogether. As for The Inhumans... Apparently they're a big part of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so there's that.
