It really seems like the only good things to come from X-Men: Origins: Wolverine was the forward thinking casting. Not only did Ryan Reynolds reprise his role as Deadpool to great success, now it seems that Liev Schreiber is willing to don the claws and fangs once more to play Sabretooth opposite Hugh Jackman in his upcoming third and final solo adventure as Wolverine.
During an Oscars red carpet interview with Josh Horowitz of MTV, Schreiber revealed that he's not only interested in coming back but that Jackman is basically begging him to do so...
“We talked about it. I don’t know. He’s mentioned it to me. The Old Man Logan story — that’s appealing. That’s something that I can do. Old, being the operative word.”
We already know a few details about the film: It's going to be directed by The Wolverine helmer James Mangold; It's based on the Old Man Logan limited series by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven from 2008; and they're shooting for an R-rating. Beyond that, who knows. It'll be cool to see Schreiber back on the big screen, and honestly if you haven't seen his work in The Ten, you're missing out on some primo Liev.
