It would be much more exciting news if it were actually Kenny Powers, but the actor who brought him to the screen, Danny McBride, is in talks to join Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant. Although McBride has proven time and again that he's not that great of an actor unless working with Jody Hill, he'll likely be used as comic relief in the sci-fi sequel, though if not, god help us all.
For the record, I'm not really looking forward to this anyway. Prometheus was gorgeous and one of the best 3D movies I've seen bar none, but it was also dumb as a rock. It's the second dumbest sci-fi script of the last ten years thanks to Avatar's continued dominance of that distinction. Nevertheless, at least Fassbender's back, amirite? Also, just for the record, I like Danny McBride a lot. I just wish he didn't try to play the exact same character in every single movie.
