The Ninja Turtles on Oprah is the Most 80's Thing Ever

Girl's gotta make a buck! In what could be one of the most shameless promotions in talk show history, men wearing terrifying Ninja Turtles costumes (or the Ninja Turtles if you're a believer) took up an entire episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1990. Although technically a product of the 90's, we'll call this video 80's afterbirth. In addition to performing the single 'Walk Straight' from their album (WTF) Coming Out of Their Shells, the Turtles sat down with Winfrey to whore out their tour, and pretty much everything else with a Ninja Turtles logo.

So, 90's, can't, stand it, need, my Popples, for comfort. I know Oprah is a businesswoman, but really? In addition to probing a coked up looking April to find out which Turtle she's boinking, Oprah extorts the child audience for their cuteness, giving them the microphone to ask the Ninja Turtles questions like "Where's your bed? Where do you sleep?" Awww. Somewhere the 90's businessman behind this mess was watching it live while doing a line of coke off an April lookalike and blaring 'Walk Straight'!
