10 Replacements for Don Lafontaine In Movie Trailers
September 04, 2008 - 12:00 pm | PermalinkSo the movie trailer voice-over guy, Don Lafontaine, passed away. He was well known for his distinctive voice that was most commonly used in the most dramatic of movie trailers, best showcased in the trailer for Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
With his passing however, the movie trailer world is left without a distinctive, charasmatic, unique voice to overdramatize the action, drama, and intensity that draws in movie-goers and makes us want to see the advertised movie. We decided to have a look at other distinctive voices that could possibly fill in until the next big movie-trailer voice is found... we'll tell you where you know them from, and give you a sample of their audition tape.
